I’m 5’1 and help women under 5’5 body-recomp! That is to lose fat, tone up through building muscle, and teach nutrition and mindset strategies for a realistic approach to fitness to achieve lifestyle lean. My YT channel is called The Real Fit Shorty because my mission is to be honest and realistic about the fitness industry.
Therefore, I’m not going to lie to you- getting down to 16% body fat with rock hard abs is HARD. While it’s certainly motivating to see ultra-fit physiques, it requires a LOT of dieting, restriction, and training. In reality, women who achieve 20-25% body-fat levels are fit while also having balance between their nutrition, training, and lifestyle. In other words, their entire life isn’t dedicated to how they look (and the methods to achieve that).
While I began my fitness journey expecting the rock hard abs look, it’s exactly what pushed me into constant negative self-image, guilt around foods, restrict-overeat cycles, fear of socializing around food, and following exercise and diet regimes I could not maintain because they were too extreme.
Fitness should ADD to your life… not take away from it. We need to normalize fitness representing so much more than Adonis level physiques. Fitness should make you feel: strong, confident, capable, energized. If you are able to reduce your body-fat percentage from 35% to 25% that should be celebrated!! Yet diet culture makes women feel bad for having a little bit of bra fat.. a low belly hump… thighs that touch. You can be fit and still have these things!!
My goal is to help you find the balance between fitness and lifestyle. YES I’m here to help you lose fat, build muscle, and optimize your nutrition for a more toned, lean physique. But I WON’T do it using unrealistic diets, prescribing you body-builder training splits, I don’t have a ‘no days off’ mentality, and I’m not going to impose such restriction on you that the process is miserable and you give up 2 weeks in.
I want you to fall in love with your figure and overcome guilty diet mentality so you can socialize with friends, have date nights and go on vacation and not be worrying about your diet. All while achieving a lifestyle lean physique!!

I began my career as a licensed physical therapy assistant in order to help others return to normal function post injury or surgery! I’ve worked with a wide spectrum of patients from toddlers to seniors to reduce pain and improve movement quality and ability through exercise!
My passion for exercise continued to develop over the years so I could better help my patients, but also so I could help my post-college self get back in to a routine and improve my own quality of life. I wanted to share my experience with more people, so I graduated from Focus Personal Training Institute to compliment my physical therapy experience. I began in-person training in 2020, and despite a few months gap due to the pandemic I continued to share my experience and workouts on social media until I could train with people in reality again!
In my spare time, I enjoy continuing my education through courses, mentorships, and following fitness GOATS on SM (people who have PHD’s and other high level education degrees in exercise and nutrition specifically). I also love reading science-fiction and fantasy novels, doodle occasionally, enjoy lazy time on the couch watching tv, and love being a pet mom to my two shih-tzus!! I grew up in Kansas City, Kansas, but lived in Brussels, Miami, and New York since 2013 (so I can call myself a real New Yorker now).
